Lake Vyrnwy offers a wonderful place to go cycling; whether you're happy moseying round the lake side or taking to the forestry tracks for more adventurous mountainbiking, there's something for everyone at Lake Vyrnwy.

The shores of Lake Vyrnwy offer a relaxing, scenic route through Mid Wales to the West coast. Following on from Lake Vyrnwy towards North Wales are the dramatic, steep sided, glaciated valleys that take you through Bala, towards the jewel in Wales's Crown, Snowdonia National Park. Not for the feint hearted, but a cycle journey not to be missed.

Bicycles can be hired at Lake Vyrnwy from 2 locations

• Caffi'r Hen Ysgubor - 01691 870377. Located next to the Tourist Information Centre. Cycle hire costs £2.00 per hour. Bicycles can be hired February - October, 10am - 3:30pm
• Artisans - 01691 870317. Artisans are found opposite the RSPB centre, and Lake Vyrnwy 3D experience.
